Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed Dog

Millie the Dog needs a home

Millie was found as a stray near a dumping ground for dogs near Doe Run. She is 35lbs, 11y/o, spayed and vaccinated. After examination it was determined she is diabetic. Insulin, Novalin N, is administered on a sliding scale 2xs per day. She has a healthy appetite. She loves to play, roll around in the grass, she is a complete ham for the camera and she loves to be loved on. She has cataracts in both eyes but she is able to get around in her surroundings. Her diet is closely monitored and in turn she has a ton of light, playful energy. She is somewhat submissive. If Millie is left alone too long she may have an accident due to her diabetes. She does not do well in a crate as of right now, she has chewed them up so blocking her into a kitchen has worked well in the foster home. She lives with another dog and 2 cats. She acclimates very well, she is a super sweet girl. She needs someone who will pay close attention to her blood sugars and feed her accordingly to ensure she has many more years left to live. She is a terrific dog looking for the most perfect home for companionship. Her adoption fee is $110 She is fostered in South County, St. Louis
